While Patricia is the President of the Greater Tangipahoa NAACP, she does not get paid for this work.  Although she tirelessly dedicates her life's work to the children of Tangipahoa Parish, she is unable to get a job in Tangipahoa Parish.  Once, she did get a job and two weeks later, the company mysteriously had to "let her go."  She was over qualified for the job but took what she could to try to make ends meet.
